Beer lovers rejoice: March 19-27, 2016 is Colorado Craft Beer Week
This nine-day celebration is designed to educate beer lovers about the Centennial State's unique craft beer community, which currently claims a 26-percent share of Colorado's beer market.
As such, we thought we'd highlight a few of the awesome Colorado Craft Beers we have on draft at the Metropolitan Bar & Grill:
Beehive Honey Wheat
From the Bristol Brewing Company in Colorado Springs, this beer features a beautiful honey-gold color & refreshing, full-flavored body. For its version of the classic American Wheat, Bristol Brewing uses less two-row & more Munich malt for depth, softening the edges with the lightness of wheat. Local Black Forest honey adds character without sweetness
This medium-bodied amber ale is the flagship beer of Odell Brewing Co. in Fort Collins. It's smooth and features a distinct burnished copper color and a deeply pleasant aroma. Some trivia for you: The name 90 Shilling comes from the Scottish method of taxing beer - only the highest-quality beers were taxed 90 Shillings!
Left Hand Milk Stout
From the Left-Hand Brewing Company in Longmont, this beer features roasted malt and coffee flavors designed to bring out the best in rich, sugary foods like cake and BBQ. Described by many as "dark and delicious", the company adds "milk sugar in your stout is like cream in your coffee."
Of course, these are only a few of our craft beer options; we have many more! We invite you to stop by for a refreshing drink any time. Bonus: Happy Hour runs from 2-6pm daily!
